Our Projects
in Development
Firm Power has over 4GW of BESS projects in various stages of development across the national electricity grid. Our projects are designed to power the energy transition by providing system stability and grid flexibility services that enable higher penetration of renewable energy – all whilst participating in broader energy markets.
The Abermain BESS is an Ipswich-based battery that will provide stability services to the Queensland network.
This big battery will be located in North Aramara, Qld, adjacent to an existing 132kV switching station.
The Awaba BESS is a 50MW/100MWh battery close to the demand centres of the central coast of NSW and Greater Sydney.
The Bathurst BESS will be located north of Bathurst, NSW, along a 330kV line between Mt Piper and Wellington.
This big battery will be located in Beermullah, WA along the 330kV line north of Gin Gin.
This Newcastle-based BESS serves to be the largest battery connected to the distribution system.
The Blackstone BESS stands to be one of Australia’s largest batteries at 1 gigawatt-hour of energy storage.
This big battery is based in Kangaroo Valley, about 150km south of Sydney, NSW.
This hybrid solar and battery storage project is based near the township of Kondinin in Western Australia.
This hybrid solar and battery storage project is based in Monash, near Renmark, South Australia.
The Murrumburrah BESS is located in the South East and Tablelands region of NSW.
Located in the Hunter Valley of NSW the 150MW Muswellbrook BESS will provide 2 hours of energy storage to stabilise the grid.
This big battery is located in Nebo, within the Isaac Region of Queensland, in proximity to the Nebo 275kV Substation.
This innovative project in Penrith offers grid stability services and a services contract with local utility to offset the need for network investment.
